On All Centre’s second vinyl outing, label regular Endless Mow and co-boss Simkin join up for a split EP of adventurous club excursions. Endless Mow kicks off proceedings, also providing a digital exclusive track, whilst Simkin provides two tracks on the flip.
Spawning Pool opens in an assured four to the floor groove, pushed forward by forceful subs and an entrancing melody. Playful arpeggios dance between the rhythms before whimsical strings steer the track into a new dimension.
Benevolent Mutoid picks up with an irresistible broken groove. Lush, enveloping pads engross the listener, soon joined by delicate melodic arpeggios and far-out sound design, assured to create wigged-out, euphoric moments on the dancefloor.
Bag of Frogs open Simkin’s side of the record. Booming kicks and funky snares lay the foundation for a chaotic synth line, punctuated by drawn swords and whistles. A haunting melodic bridge breaks things up momentarily before leading into a heavy final section.
Closing the vinyl, Fractured lowers the tempo significantly. Echoing sirens entrance the listener as glitched synths and vocals ride over the low slung groove. A dramatic chord change launches the track into overdrive, driven along by compelling kicks and snares.
Digital exclusive All You Have To Do sees Endless Mow exploring euphoric, melodic territory with a sweet chipmunk vocal riding over nicely swung drums and ecstatic synths. The track progresses blissfully, given a new edge with the introduction of a squelchy acid line.
ACENV002 is available on vinyl and digital platforms from September 22nd.
