about

Dome Zero steps up for the next EP on All Centre. The London-based artist comes through with his debut solo release, presenting three jagged club cuts - songs caught somewhere between witless lark and aimless frustration.

The record opens with Somewhere Between a Yard and a Country Mile. Raw, dancehall-inspired percussion lays the basis for an off-kilter melody and highly distorted kicks. Throughout, the arrangement playfully shifts and morphs to the point of falling apart before throwing us back into an arresting, hypnotising groove.

On Chewing the Scenery, overdriven lo-fi claps accompany a stuttering airhorn before the introduction of booming sub bass hits. Throughout, wailing sirens and noisy percussion collide to conjure Dome Zero’s signature heavily tripped-out take on dancehall. In a further leftfield turn, the track closes out with a disorientating, experimental section.

Following this, Gut Rot throws us into a compelling halftime groove. Metallic hats glide above booming toms, overdriven synths and heavily glitched, echoing percussion. A disorientating breakdown gives way to expertly chopped, low-down drum breaks, launching us into a dubbed-out jungle section to close the record.

Chewing The Scenery is available across all platforms on the 3rd of June.
